My Debut Novel - Darkening Song

So, here it is people...the moment you’ve all been waiting for - the cover reveal for my debut novel, DARKENING SONG! :)

The process of cover design in the book publishing industry is so very different to the same process for an album cover in the music business, as I discovered, but I really love where we ended up and hope you do too.

The cover was designed by the VP, Creative Director of Saturday Books, a super talented and truly lovely human called Olga Grlic who has designed covers for some legendary books e.g. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, also signed by my incredible editor Sara Goodman and one of (in my humble opinion) the best novels ever written. I only hope my words can do Olga’s cover justice!

The book is NOT yet available to buy in shops - it won’t be published until March 2026 (and no that isn’t a typo, as the last time I wrote the publication date on here someone messaged me to say - it’s a long old process).

I know I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately and that’s because I’m neck deep in trying to write and deliver book 2 to my publisher and there are only so many words I can expunge out of my brain in one day. But because of this, I have a backlog of subjects I wish to write about so expect to hear more from me soon, but probably not weekly until book 2 is fully formed.
